Snowboarding: My Way of Facing Challenges and Finding Peace
Why I got into snowboarding?
Because it’s a personal challenge. I want to prove to myself that I can do it, that my body has the ability to take on challenges. It’s not about proving anything to others; it’s about showing myself that I can excel in any area I set my mind to. I discovered that snowboarding is a form of meditation for me, it’s calms me among the mountains. It makes me realize that all problems and stress are insignificant when you’re among the clouds.
I see a connection between snowboarding and life. When I’m sliding down the hills, my mind goes blank. I don’t think about yesterday or tomorrow; I focus on the present moment. It’s when my body and mind unite. If they’re not in sync, and I lose focus, mistakes happen, and I pay for them with pain. But the feeling of improvement, of preparing for months and seeing results, is the ultimate reward. It’s my reward, and those same principles apply to every area of my life – trial, error, pain, reward, growth, continuous improvement, and raising my standards. It’s not just about snowboarding; it’s about stepping out of the comfort zone, overcoming fear, taking risks, trying new things, and getting better.
